Since 1983, Barron Industries is a unique, full-service manufacturer of ferrous and non-ferrous precision investment castings, rapid prototypes, machined components, fabrications and assemblies. One of the first investment casting companies to receive AS9100 Certification, we are also NADCAP Certified for our Non-destructive Testing. With our in-house NDT and metallurgical lab, Barron is uniquely positioned and qualified to provide high-end castings for Aerospace, Defense, Oil and Gas, Tool and Die and other critical applications. The precision lost-wax investment casting process can produce parts with strict tolerance requirements and provides distinct advantages over other casting methods. We specialize in converting expensive multi-piece fabrications into less costly one-piece investment castings, winning industry awards.
Our legacy and expertise allow us to provide engineered metal solutions that are second to none. In the metal casting industry since 1923, Joseph H. Barron founded Motor and Machinery Castings in Detroit and delivered parts personally to Henry Ford. In 1983, Joseph’s son Paul Barron began operating BarronCast, Inc. in Oxford, Michigan which expanded into the Barron Industries 65,000 square foot plant in 1990. Today Barron remains a Tier 1 supplier to Ford, GM and FCA, and has long-standing relationships with General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Mahle, NOV, Forum Energy, Roush, Schlumberger, Magna International, Merrill Tool, and others.
Earning industry certifications and awards, and collecting countless success stories, we’ve served many of our customers not just for years, but for decades. All engineered metal components are manufactured under our AS9100 Certified quality system which includes NADCAP Certification of our Non-destructive Testing lab. We are also in the process of acquiring NADCAP, the aerospace industry’s quality certification, for our other in-house processes. Our ability to perform all testing, inspection and certification in-house reduces costs and lead times by an average of 30 percent. In addition, we’ve won industry awards for converting costly multi-piece fabrications into single-piece investment castings for less than half of the original cost.
Barron’s unique, vertically-integrated manufacturing process enables us to continually adapt to an ever-changing landscape. We are constantly investing in advanced technology to add value for our customers. In addition to pouring virtually any ferrous or non-ferrous metal, Barron also offers in-house CNC Machining, CAD engineering, rapid prototyping, non-destructive testing, painting, complete assembly and welded fabrication. Machining our castings in-house for more than 20 years, Barron has invested more than $3.5 million in CNC equipment alone. In addition, our NADCAP Certification allows us to greatly reduce cost and lead-times by performing all needed non-destructive testing at our plant.
