Barron Industries Awarded NADCAP Certification
Oxford, MI – Barron Industries, a global supplier of precision ferrous and non-ferrous Investment Castings, has received NADCAP certification for its Nondestructive Testing Process (NDT).
NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is an industry-managed supplier approval program. Barron received certification for its Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection process — a low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly valuable technique that saves both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting and research.
“NADCAP certification allows Barron to reduce lead times and costs to its customers by performing and controlling this critical inspection process in-house,” said Barron Industries President and CEO Bruce Barron. “This accreditation supports our continued expansion into the aerospace market for thin-wall, high-strength structural precision castings.”
AS9100 certified since 2014, Barron Industries also complies with NADCAP specifications for its other in-house NDT processes including X-ray and Magnetic Particle Inspection.
